Target Group

Socially excluded young people aged 16-24 who are homeless or about to become homeless. Applicants must have a connection to Lambeth.

Will Not Accept

Young people who are unwilling to utilise the service appropriately or commit to some type of learning or work.

Referral Agencies

Only accept referrals from LB Lambeth Family Support Team.

Referral Procedure

Referral form completed by applicant and agency. Require background information from referral agency, including probation and psychiatric reports if applicable. Interview.

Waiting List

Operate waiting list of 5 men and 5 women.

Minimum: 6 months
Maximum: 18 months

Support Services

26 staff, 24 hour waking cover. Support and development plan with agreed outcomes, reviewed regularly. Expected to engage in on-site learning services eg job search, careers advice, computer training (ECDL), life skills and learning workshops.

Access to Centrepoint's Health and Wellbeing Team.

Access to Move-on

All residents have a move-on assessment after 6 months. Residents have access to rent deposit guarantee scheme.

House Rules and Tenure

Alcohol not allowed in communal areas. No smoking on premises. Licence agreement.

Resident Access

24 hour access, no restrictions.

Visitors

Up to 2 guests per resident between 9am-9pm, need photo ID. No under 16s.

User Participation

Monthly residents' meetings, Managers' surgeries. Annual user satisfaction survey. Complaints and suggestions box.
